Armin Mersmann Drawing by golfiscool Armin Mersmann Drawing by golfiscool
Done finally!! I spent such a long time on this, it's nice to finally see it finished. This is a drawing I did of the fantastically brilliant In the 3 years I've been drawing, I have really looked up to him as an artist. Whenever I am in need of inspiration, a quick look at his gallery is all it takes to get back on track. The cool part is that he lives in Michigan also so I've had the opportunity to see alot of his work in person!! It's even more brilliant seeing it beyond a computer screen. I really put alot of effort into this one because I was motivated all the way through the drawing. This is one of the biggest and most in depth drawings I've ever done. I hope everyone likes it. Thank you for all the WIP comments. I appreciated each and every one.

How do you first outline your character's head and find the right area for the facial planes, is it mostly a guess that is checked later with a compass?

It's nice to see one artist draw another. This is just excellent! The detail, the intensity in those eyes. Amazing.

I have neither the patience (nor the skill) to do something like this. Very nice job.
