Well, it's done now. This is a portrait I drew of my friend Danielle. I chose to draw this particular picture because I liked the attitude in it. I liked doing something different for a change, not a traditional portrait. I went alot darker than I usually do on this drawing. At first I thought I went too dark with the face, but I like the way it turned out now. I felt like I had 2 options for a background on this drawing...either go really dark, or really light. Anything else would have made the drawing look very monotone in my opinion. In the end I chose to just leave the background the paper color. The mouth and vest are probably my favorite parts of the drawing. Hope you like it.
