WHEW!! It's finally done. I spent lots of hours tonight finishing this up. It's been bugging me that it's taken so long. It should have been done weeks ago. It's just that I've been slacking.

This is a portrait I drew of Kate Beckinsale. I think she's one of the most gorgeous women out there. And I totally dig her accent too :drool: I tried to really take my time with this one particularly on the hair. The hair took me a very long time to do and it's fairly detailed. There are alot of flyaway hairs that needed to be drawn negatively and that takes a while. I am very happy with the way this turned out. I think it's one of my most realistic portraits to date and it was an interesting work to do. I hope you guys like it and I hope it was worth the wait. I know alot of people were waiting for this one :D

12"x18" Fabriano Hotpress
3B, B, 2H, 5H pencils
blending stumps and tissue for blending
Around 40 hours

*Edit - The scan that I originally posted has been bugging me because the lights are washed out and it looks blurry. I took some shots with my digital camera and I think the quality is better. Let me know if this is a better version please.

i have to say the eyes are the best part. the whole drawing is stunning, but there is just something about the eyes. couldn't be any better :)

thats awesome. its so realistic. its amazing. what technique do you use to add flyaway hairs. i simply cant get flyaway hairs right. they make this drawing look like a photo.

Awesome as always. What do you do for a living to give you the time to do this stuff? I mean damn, I can barely spend a few hours a week drawing.
