This is a colored pencil drawing I did of the lovely :iconkhaebs: I've drawn her a few times in the past and I always struggle with her likeness for some reason. She has a really unique look I think...and she's absolutely gorgeous. I am happy with this drawing although I don't think it's my best CP drawing. I expected this to turn out better than it did. Oh well...I'm sure I will draw her again sometime in the future. :) So this one is for you Kim, hope you like it :glomp:

12"x18" Canson Mi Tientes (gray/blue)
Prismacolor colored pencils
Tissues and blending stumps on the face
20 hours

*Edit - I did a little more work on this at the advice of some fellow artists. I toned down the colors slightly by adding some grays all over. I also worked on the left side of her hair to make it a little fuller. Let me know if you see other areas that could be improved.

I think the only problem is that the left side looks a bit flat, creating the illusion of a square head. Also, there should be a bit more shading around the nose, the lighting looks strange. Overall, the coloring and shading is beautiful, just like the model! Very well done!

I really like this one! The skin tones are wonderful and her eyes just pop off the paper. It's wonderful how you got it so lifelike...

this is beyond description... tell me is there flaws in it... i cannot see anyway but the artist is the one that knows the pices flaws best!...

well I recognized her immediately from the thumb :nod: ...and I think it's very photorealistic it just shows that the ref-pic isn't a professional photograph. I think it's a really well-done portrait anyway :love:
