Artist's Comments

I am waiting for my painting to dry before I can continue so I decided to do a quick colored pencil drawing. I took progress scans while I was working on this and I am going to make it into a tutorial. So if you are interested, the tutorial should be added to my website either today or tomorrow.

I did this drawing on black paper and I am a little bummed out that my scanner decided to make it green. If anyone is good at digital art and wants to change the background to a dark gray or black let me know.

Prismacolor colored pencils
4 or 5 hours

Thanks. Yeah I did use a reference but I changed it a lot. The reference rose was very withered looking.

Wow that's really awesome!!

If you want I could try to change the colors a bit, like the background? I use Photoshop with my drawings all the time, so they look like the original again, instead of light gray-ish scans.

The colors are amazing on this! I had trouble getting colors to come out whenever I use black paper.
