I swore I would always keep my profile here at DA strictly traditional art. But lately I have been getting more into photography, now that I have a decent camera. I just wanted to share my recent attempts at creative photography.
I took this picture in Saugatuck, Michigan looking out on Lake Michigan. I enjoy going there in the summer sometimes because there's a lot to do there. I took this picture just as I was leaving the beach one day. All of the sudden there was this gorgeous sunset so I got out of the car and started shooting. This is one of my favorite pictures I've taken to date.
Awesome shot Brian...I had my eye on the D40 also! Everything I read about it is awesome!!! Most consumers are fixated on megapixels instead of the actual image quality!!! Nikon kicks ass in this department! More MegaPixels only mean larger storage of a bad image! - Did you use a flash?...it looks like a flash on the grass (bottom left)
Thanks. Yeah, the D40 is ok. I wish I would have gotten a step or two better now though. Just after I bought my camera, Armin Mersmann said he would have sold me his D80 for the same price as I paid for the D40.
I think I did use a flash, I don't really remember though.
Hey, just a little tip on buying your camera. I got mine from Newegg.com and I saved a little bit of money. I've bought lots of electronics from them and have always been happy with everything.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
