Well, I wrapped up this commission tonight. I am really pleased with how it came out too. I forgot how much I loved drawing animals. It's alot different from portraits. I did not blend anything on this drawing because I wanted the paper texture to show and suggest fur or hair. That's the way I did my last dog drawing and I liked the way that one turned out as well. Now I just have to get a frame for this drawing and ship it off to the customer. Thanks for all the comments on the WIP.

Oh, hey guys, could you please let me know if this scan looks alright. I scanned it a few different times and I can't tell if it looks good anymore. I've been staring at it for too long today.

12"x18" Fabriano Hotpress Watercolor paper
2H, 5H, HB mechanical, 3B mechanical pencils
NO BLENDING
15-20 hours

In all honesty, I didn't actually see it 'till you pointed it out just then :lol:
So I guess from that, it doesn't. It gives it a finish, instead of leaving it open

looks very cute :aww: the texture looks good too, not smoothing and shading everything together works very well sometimes :nod: have you ever drawn a kitty cat? :plotting:

the scan looks great too and the black border looks fine too, though I think most of the time when theres a drawing with a lot of white in the background, having no border looks good too..but most of the time I dont even notice the border
