Hi everyone. I hope you all are doing well. It's been a while. I've been so busy with life lately, work, girlfriend, and traveling a lot. My day job has taken up most of my time because I've been on the road so much. I just got back from South Carolina...again...and I'm scheduled to go back in August for a month. I love my job but a month away from home just sucks.

I've been doing a lot of traveling outside of work also. I've been to Chicago a few different times, which I love. I've been doing a lot of camping with my girlfriend and her family in Northern Michigan which is also a lot of fun.

I saw Mat Kearney in concert a few days ago on the 2nd which was awesome. He's one of my favs at the moment. Tomorrow I have tickets to see Augustana with my girlfriend. She's not really into my type of music but she's a good sport and she goes with me.

So once again, this journal update is basically making excuses to you all why I'm not very active here lately. But something is different today...

I am happy to report that I started on a drawing today. All this time that I've been away I've been becoming more and more hesitant to start anything, thinking that I may have lost the ability. I'm about half way done with this new drawing and I think I still have it...I think. I'm really happy with how it's going so far. It feels amazing to be back at my desk drawing again. I am ashamed that I've been away from it for so long. I won't reveal anything about it right now so it can be a surprise when I post it.

As always thanks to all the watchers and commenters. New work is coming :)

Good for you at getting back to the drawing board! There were a lot of times during college that i was not able to draw or paint, and i would often wonder if i still had "it." I would be rusty...but i always got it back. Looking forward to seeing your new work!
